Break even lesson PowerPoint

A PowerPoint recapping cashflow and introducing students to the concepts of costs, profit and break even. There is a variety of activities building up students knowledge and a range of tasks for them to complete to ensure they understand all aspects of break even. There’s a GCSE style exam question with scaffolding and structure for peer marking. There is enough content here to cover a few lessons.

Remuneration: a full lesson of activities and a treasure hunt

A full lesson resource to teach the topic of remuneration. There is an activity that can be used as a treasure hunt or fact finding activity where the teacher prints and puts up the definitions of each method and the students need to find the information, before discussing in their groups the advantages and disadvantages of each method and recording it on their sheet. This download includes a PowerPoint, the sheets for the treasure hunt, a worksheet for them to complete and a workbook of tasks. A fun way to teach the topic of remuneration!

Methods of production: Job, batch and flow. Full lesson resources and game

A great fun way to teach production methods. Students are put into teams, representing either job, batch or flow. They must create shapes using their method of production and then sell them onto the teacher (the buyer) in the time given. This is then recored on the spreadsheet which you can project so the class can see who’s winning. It’s great fun and really helped my students understand and remember the advantages and disadvantages of each production method.
